Covering more than 555 square miles, the Peak District National Park is one of the most desirable locations to visit in the UK. It extends to cover parts of Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Staffordshire.

Defined by its natural beauty, this National Park is also famous for its locally-quarried, millstone emblem. Examples of this famous landmark can be seen at the side of many of the roads that lead into the area.

Around 22 million day visitors come to the area each year, with something on offer for everyone to see. From the truly stunning countryside, to the quaint market towns and villages, you’ll never be short of things to do.

Whether you’re a family, couple or large group, the area provides the ultimate outdoor playground to explore. Areas for climbing, cycling, running and hiking are in limitless supply – whilst there are an abundance of historical sites to explore as well.

From the rolling valleys of the White Peak, to the harsh, wild, gritstone edges of the Dark Peak in the North, the variety on offer here is difficult to rival. As a break for a short or longer stay away, you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere as attractive to visit.
