At the 1st small crossroads after Darwin Forest, turn left onto Jaggers Lane, signposted Farley and Hackney. (If you start to descend down Sydnope Hill, you have gone too far).

Darwin Lake is situated 200 yards down Jaggers Lane on the left.

In Darley Dale turn left onto the B5057 signposted Two Dales and Chesterfield. The Royal Bank of Scotland and a chemist will be directly in front of you.

Stay on this road (all uphill, twisty and narrow in parts) for about 2 miles until you reach the top of the hill. Soon after you will come to a small crossroads at which you need to turn right onto Jaggers Lane signposted Farley and Hackney.
