Darwin Lake
Jaggers Lane
Darley Moor

Please Note:
If you are using Sat Nav you may get directed to Matlock Farm Park. You need to pass this on your left hand side and keep going to the triangular junction (do not turn down the drive marked private on the right before the junction). You then need to go straight ahead and you will see Darwin Lake on your right-hand side after approximately 50 metres.

From Matlock

At the roundabout in Matlock, take the A6 signposted Buxton Manchester. Continue along this road for just over 2 miles turning right onto the B5057 signposted Chesterfield and Two Dales.

Continue on this road (it’s quite steep and twisty in parts) for 2 miles, be on the lookout for a small crossroad where you turn right onto Jaggers Lane (if you reach Darwin Forest Country Park on the left, you have gone too far). Darwin Lake is situated 200yds on the left.

From Chesterfield

Leave the town on the A632 towards Matlock. After approximately 4 miles, turn right onto the B5057 towards Two Dales. Continue on the B5057 for approximately 3 miles (very straight road in parts), eventually passing Darwin Forest Country Park on the right.

At the 1st small crossroads after Darwin Forest, turn left onto Jaggers Lane, signposted Farley and Hackney. (If you start to descend down Sydnope Hill, you have gone too far).

Darwin Lake is situated 200 yards down Jaggers Lane on the left.

From Bakewell

Leave the town on the A6 towards Matlock. This road will take you through Rowsley past the Grouse & Claret Public House on the left and into Darley Dale (approximately 6 miles in total).

In Darley Dale turn left onto the B5057 signposted Two Dales and Chesterfield. The Royal Bank of Scotland and a chemist will be directly in front of you.

Stay on this road (all uphill, twisty and narrow in parts) for about 2 miles until you reach the top of the hill. Soon after you will come to a small crossroads at which you need to turn right onto Jaggers Lane signposted Farley and Hackney.

Darwin Lake is situated 200 yards down Jaggers Lane on the left.
