We know how hard it has been for all of us during these unprecedented times. We are taking every step to ensure all our customers can enjoy their staycation at Darwin Lake Holiday Village safely. We have introduced measures to safeguard customers while residing at Darwin Lake. Measures include; social distancing, deep cleaning of cottages and provision of extra sanitisers for all guests as well as food parcel drops.

Whether you wish for a relaxing break or something altogether more exciting – have a change of scene and get away from it all in one of our cosy luxury cottages by the lake, in perfect seclusion and safety.

What’s included?

We have even put a little fun package together, for when the travel restrictions have been lifted. You can come and enjoy a well-deserved staycation with your family as well as others of your household.  Also, with anyone else the Government allows at the time.

Grocery Basket

You will receive a grocery basket of your choice, with fresh locally sourced produce worth over £30, upon your arrival, per cottage. You can also order additional items for delivery during your stay.

Games, books and Playstation

We now have a selection of books in the cottages with many games for all ages allowing you to relax while keeping yourselves! And the kids entertained during your staycation with us.  You can also add a Playstation to your staycation with us! There are many family board-games also, so you all can have some challenging fun together!

Whilst you’re here, you can relax in the picturesque grounds of our Holiday Village and enjoy your get- together with your loved ones and let us worry about the rest!

No-quibble refunds if COVID-19 continues

We understand things may change and holidays may be affected due to the pandemic. We offer you peace of mind in booking with our “easy in and easy out” payment option. You can book with an easy mind, knowing that if the pandemic affects your up-coming staycation, our no-quibble refunds will be issued with no extra cost or postponement to a new suitable date.

Add a Hot tub

To even make things more exciting, we are offering each cottage a hot tub* at a reduced price of £210 for short stays and £250 for that week long staycation.

BBQ & Picnics

Enjoy a bbq around our large firepit and there are plenty of picnic spots in our private grounds too! There are also outdoor games for you all to enjoy.

Set in secluded woodland, our small number of luxurious 4-star lodges are set in lovely picturesque surroundings, with cottages built right on the edge of our stunning Darwin Lake. Nestled within the beautiful Darwin Forest, our small village grounds extend over 20 acres, giving plenty of space for social distancing and adventure. Amidst our stunning scenery and abundant wildlife.

Darwin Lake provides the ideal base to explore the delightful Peak District and its wonderful attractions. There are lovely walks here around the lake and woodland grounds that pass our waterfall and an abundance of natural wildlife, with many countryside walks nearby and forest drives. Or take a trek across the nearby moorlands, open to the public and explore Hobbs House, rumoured to once have been home to Robin Hood!
